County Londonderry is a county of great beauty and contrast with the beaches and coastal towns on the Atlantic coast in the north, valleys and rivers to the east and west, the south east where it touches the shore of Lough Neagh and the spectacular Sperrin Mountains in the south offering great walking opportunities. The historic city of Derry or Londonderry is the fourth largest in Ireland and an interesting way of taking in its sights is from a walk along the well preserved 17th century wall surrounding the city.
