About County Armagh
County Armagh is the smallest of the six counties that form Northern Ireland. It is known as the orchard county, renowned for its apple growing and fertile land. Armagh city, the county town, is the traditional home of Christianity in Ireland it was home to St Patrick the patron saint of Ireland and there are many historic sites to visit here. For nature lovers the Slieve Gullion Forest Park in the south of the county is an area of outstanding natural beauty. County Armagh has a coastline on Lough Neagh the largest lake in Ireland and home to spectacular wildlife.
