About County Donegal

County Donegal is in the north west of Ireland, it has mainly a mountainous and rugged landscape with many natural Loughs or lakes. A 100km trip around the coastline of the Inishowen peninsular takes in Malin Head, the most northerly point in the whole of Ireland. Lifford is the county town of County Donegal and is linked to Strabane in Northern Ireland by a bridge over the river Finn. County Donegal is home to the largest Irish Speaking community in Ireland a warm and friendly people where visitors are taken to their heart.
