About County Leitrim
|
|
County Leitrim is in the province of Connacht of Ireland and is one of Irelands most untouched counties. County Leitrim is a county of two halfs separated by Lough Allen in the middle, the north-west of the county is a mountainous landscape of great natural beauty and the south-east is relatively flat with pastures, lakes and rivers. The river Shannon runs through the county making for incredible memorable boating holidays, water sports and angling. Carrick-on-Shannon is a lively waterfront town where boats can be hired for the day for trips down the Shannon to view the beautiful landscape or a days peaceful fishing.
