About County Wicklow

County Wicklow lies on the eastern coast of Ireland with county Dublin to the North. County Wicklow is known as the Garden of Ireland because of its beautiful imposing mountains, hidden valleys, clear silver streams and long sandy beaches. Tourists are attracted to Wicklow to visit the remarkable ruins, countless deep glens and majestic settlements like Glendalough. If you enjoy an energetic holiday than there is walking tours up the mountains and along the Wicklow Way.
Wicklow also offers visitors some great days out at the seaside with numerous golden beaches and seaside resorts like Bray. Many activities are available from lazy days on relaxing on the beach, taking in the unique character of the seaside resorts to water sports.
Wicklow town is the county town and is very popular with tourists, a must for any visitor is the Regatta Festival in August.
